Registration Now Open for the 10^th Annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit

JOHNSTON, IOWA – The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) today announced National Biodiesel Board (NBB) CEO Joe Jobe will deliver the industry keynote address at the 10^th Annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit on January 19, 2016 in Altoona, Iowa.

“The IRFA is very excited to have National Biodiesel Board’s Joe Jobe address the 10^th Annual Summit, and provide his astute perspective on biodiesel’s role in national energy policy as a very successful, greenhouse gas reducing advanced biofuel,” stated IRFA Managing Director Lucy Norton.  “With energy policy currently at the forefront of national discussions, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit will be a great place to learn the latest and greatest on the future of renewable fuels.”

The Summit is free to attend and open to the public. The 10^th Annual Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit will take place at The Meadows Conference Center at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

Iowa is the nation’s leader in renewable fuels production. Iowa has 12 biodiesel facilities with the capacity to produce nearly 315 million gallons annually. In addition, Iowa has 43 ethanol refineries capable of producing 3.9 billion gallons annually, including nearly 55 million gallons of annual cellulosic ethanol production capacity.

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association was formed in 2002 to represent the state’s liquid renewable fuels industry. The trade group fosters the development and growth of the renewable fuels industry in Iowa through education, promotion, legislation and infrastructure development.
