As the father of three boys, I’m constantly focused on how I can make their futures as bright as possible. One choice I never have to think twice about is fueling up with ethanol.
Ethanol’s high-octane content helps vehicles burn fuel more efficiently, improving engine performance and reducing cancer-causing tailpipe emissions. By choosing E85 or another higher ethanol blend for my 2008 flex-fuel minivan, I can be confident that it will get us through the next family road trip while also safeguarding my sons’ lungs and futures.
This Earth Day, we can all take small steps to impact big changes, starting with the car in our own driveways. Even if you don’t have a flex-fuel vehicle, all 2001 and newer vehicles are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to run on E15, a fuel made of 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent petroleum. Try a higher ethanol blend like E85 or E15 today to help safeguard the environment for years to come.
