MEDIA ADVISORY: IRFA, Iowa Corn and Casey’s in Pella Partner for Ethanol Promotion

Casey’s is now offering E85 in Pella! The Iowa Renewable Fuel Association (IRFA) and the Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) will hold an ethanol promotion at the Casey’s General Store located at 509 Main Street in Pella, Iowa on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. During this time, E85 will be just 85 cents a gallon, two seater rides in a street legal INDYCAR will be available, and also grab lunch with a slice of pizza and Coca-cola for $3.

This store recently became one of the first Casey’s in Iowa to sell E15 and E85. A least six other Casey’s stores will also carry E15 and E85 as part of a pilot program with ICPB and Growth Energy who provided support to Casey’s new higher ethanol blend program.

Ethanol provides higher octane for cleaner burning engines, along with increased performance. Ethanol is a homegrown fuel that supports Iowa jobs, our state economy and Iowa’s corn farmers.

Over the past decade, INDYCAR drivers have logged millions of miles racing on E85. Iowa Corn is proud to sponsor the Iowa Corn 300, which will take place on Sunday, July 9 on “The Fastest Short Track on the Planet” in Newton. The race demonstrates the power and performance of ethanol, and reminds consumers to fill up like the pros.

E85 fuel is made with at least 70 percent ethanol and is approved for use in all flexible fuel vehicles. To find E85 in your community, click here.
