JOHNSTON, IOWA – If you only have time for one stop this Friday, April 20th, make it at Sparky’s One Stop in Carroll to fill up on E15 for just $1.99 per gallon.

The east side Sparky’s One Stop (1515 Plaza Drive) is partnering with the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) and N Bowdish Company to inform customers of all the benefits E15 offers. E15 will be sold at the discounted price of $1.99 per gallon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local radio station KKRL will also be onsite hosting a trivia contest. Winners will receive $25 ethanol gift cards.

“E15 is the best fuel option for all 2001 and newer vehicles,” said IRFA Managing Director Lucy Norton. “It is higher octane, improves vehicle performance, and reduces the amount of cancer-causing toxic chemicals in our air. We look forward to engaging with Sparky’s customers and letting them know about this smarter, cleaner choice.”

E15 is a fuel blend containing 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent petroleum. E15 is approved for all 2001 and newer vehicles. It is also higher in octane, which improves vehicle performance. Find fuel stations offering E15 near you by clicking here.
