JOHNSTON, IOWA – Today Mexican fuel retailers are joining the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) and the American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) for a four-day tour across Iowa, planned in cooperation with the U.S. Grains Council, to learn how the U.S. ethanol industry works and how E10 was successfully implemented across Iowa. In 2017, Mexico changed its law to allow up to an E10 blend. That market is just now starting to open up in a significant way for Iowa ethanol producers.
The tour will start in Des Moines, head north and northeast toward Mason City and Waterloo, and then loop back toward central Iowa. At several stops along the way, media are invited to join the tour and IRFA and ACE representatives will be available for interviews.
