The IRFA publishes Mondays wholesale E85 prices every Tuesday. E85 suppliers wishing to have their price posted should contact IRFA at 515-252-6249 or info@IowaRFA.org. To be eligible for listing, the suppliers price must: be publicly posted elsewhere; be available to any retailer or supplier; not be restricted by gallonage caps. E85 is defined in state law as a blend of between 70 and 85 percent ethanol with gasoline.
The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association represents the states liquid renewable fuels industry and works to foster its growth. Iowa is the nations leader in renewable fuels production with 42 ethanol refineries capable of producing 4.7 billion gallons annually – including 34 million gallons of annual cellulosic ethanol production capacity – and 10 biodiesel facilities with the capacity to produce 416 million gallons annually.
