E15 Returns to Des Moines Kum & Go Stores with Big Promotion

JOHNSTON, IOWA – Kum & Go is offering E15 to 2001 and newer vehicles for just $1.15 per gallon tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 21 stores in the Des Moines Metro.

“It’s not every day you see fuel prices that start with a one,” stated Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) Managing Director Lucy Norton. “E15 is already the lowest-cost fuel for the vast majority of drivers, and Kum & Go’s promotion offering it for $1.15 per gallon means even more savings for Iowans on this safe and more environmentally-friendly fuel blend.”

E15 is a fuel blend containing 15 percent ethanol, just five percentage points more ethanol than the most commonly used fuel in the U.S., E10. E15 is often sold at a 5 to 10-cent per gallon discount to E10, and is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency for use in all 2001 and newer vehicles.
