The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) recently hosted the 12th Annual Biofuels: Science and Sustainability Tour, which brings Washington, D.C. staffers to Iowa for an up-close, hands-on look at biofuels and modern agriculture. This year’s tour took nearly 30 participants on an engaging biofuels journey, visiting an ethanol plant, biodiesel plant, family farm, an Iowa fuel retailer, and so much more!
As debate continues on a national level about the future of American transportation, the tour provided staffers the opportunity to see how their actions in D.C. impact producers, farmers, and consumers.
