Member News: EcoEngineers expands voluntary carbon market services with recent hire

Today, EcoEngineers announced another new hire to expand their services in the renewable energy sector — this time into voluntary carbon markets and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policy support. David LaGreca has joined the EcoEngineers team as a Senior Carbon Consultant and brings his experience in carbon offset project development, ESG, and validation and verification for carbon markets to EcoEngineers’ diverse pool of experts in low-carbon fuels, technologies, and policy and regulations.

Mr. LaGreca has worked in the validation, verification, and development of a wide variety of carbon offset project types including renewable natural gas (RNG), forestry/soil carbon, and solar and wind power. At EcoEngineers, he will oversee and provide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions audits, corporate sustainability plans and conduct feasibility analyses and training around market opportunities in emissions reductions.

Prior to joining EcoEngineers, Mr. LaGreca worked as a GHG consultant for Ruby Canyon Environmental, providing verification, auditing, and consulting services for clients worldwide. He has been involved in over 100 emissions reduction projects and dozens of GHG inventories.

“Our clients are demanding advisory services in the voluntary carbon exchange. All sectors are feeling the pressure to reduce emissions of planet warming gases from their supply chains,” said EcoEngineers CEO Shashi Menon. “David’s expertise coupled with our already-vast knowledge of carbon reduction for transportation fuels is the perfect combination for a world craving measurable emissions reductions.”

2022 has been a year of expansion for EcoEngineers, a Des Moines, Iowa-based renewable energy consulting and auditing firm. In January, the company announced the hiring of David Lindenmuth to head up RNG services for the company, then in February Kristine Klavers joined the team to establish an office in Houston, Texas.
